BP Gas Credit Card from Chase
If you live in an area where there are a lot of BP stations, then you may want to think about getting the BP Fuel Card. With gas prices at record levels, anything you can do to help save some money on gas is worth it. While it may seem like a pretty crappy consolation prize to $4/gallon gas, using a gas rebate card like the Chase BP Card at least means you get to save more money on every time you "fill 'er up" at a BP station. Here's how it works: Simply fill up at a BP gas station, get 5% cash back on that purchase - it's as simple as that. And for the first 60 days you get double that - a 10% rebate on gas purchases! The Catch: As you may have guessed, you only get this 5% rebate at BP stations. And while in most areas its pretty easy to find one, it might not always be convenient. Should you fill up at another gas station, then you'll only get 2% cash back instead of the 5%. If you want a card where you can get 5% cashback on all gas purchases, check out the Discover's Gas Card. But if you find yourself filling up at BP stations all the time anyway, then you'll want to get this card (and that 10% cashback on gas for the first 60 days is awesome.) As
far as I'm concerned, everybody should be using a gas card these
days - it just makes sense. Just remember to pay off
your card every month and you can take advantage of the credit
card company and their generous offer - imagine that, you get to
take advantage of them for a change.
